Current Planning Activities
UCR's Academic Senate has approved the medical school curriculum. Recently, the faculty body also voted unanimously to support the School of Medicine proposal, which was completed following an extensive planning process.
Subsequent to these actions, the proposal was submitted in March 2008 to the University of California Office of the President and the systemwide Academic Council. The proposal must be voted upon by the UC Board of Regents, anticipated in July. It will also be reviewed by the California Postsecondary Education Commission.
